China now has the two largest hydroelectric stations in the world after the inauguration of a new giant dam.
The construction of the facilities took 4 years - according to the Three Gorges company - and after three days of testing, the first two of the 16 turbines began to operate at full capacity.
The turbines are expected to be fully operational by 2022.
