Police in Cali: The most difficult has been the criticism (May) 3:33
(CNN Spanish) -
After 24 days of investigation, the Attorney General's Office and the National Police of Colombia captured on Monday in an operation four people allegedly responsible for the murder of the patrolman Carlos Andrés Rincón on June 3, according to the Police in a release.
According to the authorities, the four people were captured in the course of four search and search procedures.
Those arrested had an arrest warrant for "aggravated homicide, torture, forced disappearance and aggravated possession of firearms."
CNN does not know how the detainees speak about the allegations and if they have legal representation.
According to the police, the detainees kidnapped the patrolman Rincón at a point in a blockade that occurred in northern Cali on June 3, and then tortured the policeman and threw his body into a river.
Rincón's body was found on June 7 in the Cauca River, 9 kilometers from the city.
Those captured were made available to the prosecuting body, which will request an intramural security measure.

The Police also indicated that a reward will be paid to those who have provided information for this capture, but they did not detail how much the reward is.
On June 8, Major General Jorge Luis Vargas, director of the Colombian National Police, stated that the authorities were offering a reward of up to US $ 27,000 to those who provided information about the perpetrators of this act.
