The Tel Aviv District Court yesterday (Sunday) approved the prosecution's request to aggravate the indictment with eight new cases of violence that were added to the indictment against two aides at Gan Siegel in Holon. Assistants Ortal Benjamin and Rinat Janko were accused of attacking and abusing 26 toddlers while working in the city's private kindergarten.
According to the amended indictment, in one case while the toddlers were sitting around the table, Benjamin took a shoe that was lying on the table and used it to hit a toddler's hand. In another case while the toddlers were playing, Janko pulled a toddler by her shirt and dropped her to the floor. The indictment further describes that while a toddler was lying on a blanket, Benjamin grabbed him, lifted him in the air and threw him on another mattress. "
In the case documented by the security cameras, the assistant assisted Benjamin Toddler, took out a napkin and wiped her face as she shook her face and pushed her head back.
Earlier this month, six cases of violence were added to the indictment regarding the cases of violence in the same garden that is being conducted in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, and thus it was also amended.
The indictment against the owner of the kindergarten and the three assistants: Sigal Adhami, Vered Avraham, Livnat Unger and Yafit Asher.
"Attorney Rosie Kabez, of the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office, filed the two amended indictments.
According to the indictment, one of the defendants approached a toddler who was sitting down to eat, grabbed her one size and forcibly dragged her to another part of the kindergarten."
