With her warm feminine voice, singer Mirna Malouhi sang on the stage of the Dar al-Thaqafa Palace in Homs with songs from the stars of the past and present.
The audience of the House of Culture interacted with a bouquet of songs by great artists from Sayed Darwish, Fairouz, Warda Al-Jazaeryah, Mayada Al-Hinnawi, Laila Mourad and Julia Boutros.
In a statement to SANA Cultural Center, Mirna stated that this is her third concert on the cultural stage of Homs, which she loves to sing for the people of this city who are gourmet of traditional and traditional art, pointing out that her study of solfege and oriental singing at the hands of the professors of the Higher Institute of Music contributed to enriching her talent and enriching her artistic taste.
In turn, the band's leader, Rand Sukkar, said, "We are playing for the first time with the artist Mirna, where we coordinated with her and trained to reach a classy concert in which we present a group of tarab songs for the giants of Arab singing."
Flute player George El-Dhaoui considered that presenting such concerts contributes to restoring the true compass of authentic fine art, stressing that the role of every musical artist is to contribute to presenting committed art that is linked to authenticity, heritage and beautiful rapture.
Guitar player Johnny Saliba noted the importance of the musicians in Homs participating in these Tarab concerts that delight their audience, indicating that he is working with artist Mirna to put new touches in the performance while maintaining a decent technical level.
It is noteworthy that Mirna Malouhi is a graduate of English literature who worked as a child in church chanting and participated in concerts at the Opera House, in cultural centers and art festivals in the governorates, Lebanon and Jordan.
