The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation of Mexico declared the prohibition of the recreational use of marijuana unconstitutional.

With eight votes in favor, five articles of the General Health Law that prohibit the recreational use of this substance in the country were invalidated.

In Mexico, the medicinal use of cannabis is legal, but its decriminalization for other purposes has yet to be legislated.
