Today, the classification of the 27-year-old ground crew case was revised to "have epidemiological connection with the imported case."
The 27-year-old colleague on the ground and the 24-year-old female staff member of Suntec Plaza in Tai Po will also be listed as "epidemiologically related to the imported case."
There are fewer than 5 preliminary confirmed cases in Hong Kong today.

The CHP stated that as of 0:00 on June 29, the center is investigating a newly confirmed case. So far, the total number of cases in Hong Kong is 11,922 (including 11,921 confirmed cases and one suspected case).
The new case is an imported case (the 11922th case). The patient is a 43-year-old man with no symptoms. He arrived in Hong Kong from the UK and stayed at the Regal Airport Hotel in Chek Lap Kok.
The Department of Health added that the man arrived in Hong Kong on flight BA031 on June 23. A sample was confirmed on the third day and there was no vaccination record. The results of the L452R variant virus were pending. N501Y and E484K variant viruses were not detected.

In addition, the center announced on June 25 that the Public Health Laboratory Service Office of the Department of Health conducted a virus gene sequencing analysis on the case 11902 (27-year-old male airport ground staff) involving the L452R mutant virus strain. The results showed that it was similar to the three imported cases ( #11877, 11878, and 11881) genomes are consistent, reflecting that the 4 cases may be epidemiologically related.
The center today announced the latest epidemiological investigation findings, stating that Case 11902 had a brief encounter with the 3 imported cases at the temporary sample collection center of the Department of Health at the Hong Kong International Airport on June 11.
Based on the epidemiological data and the results of genetic sequencing, the center today classified case 11902 from local cases of unknown origin, and revised it to be epidemiologically related to the imported case.
Therefore, the case 11918 (24-year-old female staff at Suntec Plaza, Tai Po), which is epidemiologically related to case 11902, will also be amended to be epidemiologically related to the imported case.
In the past 14 days (June 15-28), a total of 42 cases have been reported, including 40 imported cases and 2 cases that are epidemiologically related to the imported cases.
In addition, the center also reminded specified persons related to Yun Heng Building, Wan Tau Tong Village, Tai Po, to comply with the mandatory testing announcement tomorrow for testing.
