The man arrived in Los Angeles last Tuesday from Cabo San Lucas, in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, according to the complaint, authorities made public on Monday.
His final destination was Salt Lake City, in Utah, but since there was no direct flight, he made a stop in Los Angeles.
As he explained to the FBI, he drank several beers,
bought meth for $ 20
and spent the night in a hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
When he dawned on Thursday, he continued to smoke methamphetamine and decided to take a plane instead of traveling by bus, the complaint states.
He smoked more drugs before heading to the airport, but eventually missed his flight and wandered the streets at night.
