Students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won a bronze medal in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), which was organized remotely by Singapore on the 22nd and 25th of this month, with the participation of 351 male and female students from 88 countries.
The Excellence and Creativity Authority stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that the winning student is Muhammad Nour Al-Masry from Aleppo Governorate.
The commission added that this result comes through the Syrian participation number 13 in this largest scientific merit in the world of informatics.
The tests included two rounds of five continuous hours each and included a set of problems in algorithms and programming, and were launched from two examination centers in Damascus and Aleppo.
Syria had won three bronze medals in the European Physics Olympiad EUPHO for the year 2021, which was organized by Estonia with the participation of 46 countries remotely, during the nineteenth and twenty days of this month.
