The refurbishment project is mainly to replace the spherical screen. The old screen was installed in 1996 and made up of 421 curved aluminum sheets in an overlapping manner. The edges look like pieces of watermelon, which affect the projection effect of the image.

The new screen design uses the latest NanoSeam technology to seamlessly connect 428 perforated aluminum screens with a thickness of less than 1 mm in a compact "edge-to-edge" manner, so that the images are clearer and the colors are brighter when playing various programs.
