Königsdorf
- An excavator driver was seriously injured in an accident on Monday around 2 p.m. in Königsdorf.
According to the police, the 33-year-old Lenggrieser was entrusted with excavation work on a construction site and briefly left the driver's cab to get an idea of the depth of a shaft.
To do this, he stood at the edge of the three to four meter deep shaft.
This broke off at that moment and the man slid unchecked into the shaft.
He remained there with severe leg injuries, but was able to draw attention to himself by shouting.
Two other workers released the 33-year-old from his predicament.
The injured person was first treated by an emergency doctor and the rescue service and then transported to an accident hospital.
