100 farmers benefited from the fish fingerlings grant distributed by the General Authority for Fish Resources, in cooperation with the Quneitra Agriculture Directorate, to farmers in the governorate's countryside.
Engineer Habib Abbas from Al-Sun Center of the Public Authority for Fisheries said in a statement to SANA reporter that the grant comes within the plan of the General Authority for Fish Resources to distribute fish fingerlings to farmers within the experience of family fish farms and micro-projects provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform to support farmers.
The director of Quneitra Agriculture, Engineer Ahmed Deeb, explained that the beneficiaries were chosen by the extension units based on a number of conditions, including that the farmer owns a water basin in which to raise fish, taking into account the distribution of the grant to all the villages and towns of the governorate.
