In the district of Freising, a low seven-digit amount would be due for the nationwide purchase of equipment for the district schools, the district administrator calculates. In the entire Free State, around 200 million euros would have to be shelled out. This enormous sum bears no relation to the expected benefit. However, that is his personal opinion, emphasizes Petz.
How the parliamentary group leaders in the district council stand on Söder's demand that an air purification device should be installed in every classroom in September, which he now wants to explore in talks.
But one thing is already clear: "We are the focus of the public discussion."
