Air filters are intended to protect against corona infections in the classrooms for more safety.
The Valley community wants to examine whether the elementary and middle schools should be equipped with it and whether funding should be applied for.
Valley
- Protecting school children from Corona as best as possible, that is very important to the
Valley
municipal councils.
The mayor will therefore inquire about an air filter system for the Mangfall Valley School.
Christoph Trömer (FWG) brought the topic on the agenda in the municipal council.
He had heard about the government subsidy program for air filters in schools and wanted to know how Valley could use them.
Mayor Bernhard Schäfer (FWG) was informed.
He had already spoken to the headmistress Anja Rettich about it, he said.
“The ventilation options at the school are very good,” he explains.
The rector would therefore not consider a filter system to be absolutely necessary.
School: The dispute over the air filters
Barbara Walter (CSU) suggested considering such an investment anyway.
Air filters would not only offer protection against corona viruses, but also against normal waves of flu and colds.
And not only that. "The systems can even filter pollen from the air, and allergies are increasing in children too," said Walter.
Nicole Weinfurtner (Greens) confirmed that the technology is now very mature and the use has proven itself.
Why there will be no 5th grade at the Mangfalltalschule Valley from autumn - and what that means for your future
Schäfer was convinced and promised that the administration would obtain further information.
Magnus Epp (CSU) went one step further.
You shouldn't stop at gathering information so that you can only react when necessary.
"We should be looking for a company now that could deliver such a system," said Epp.
"If it gets worse again in autumn, then we'll be glad."
