After the 5.75% of the Banque de France, INSEE advanced in its economic report “Return to the surface”, published on Thursday, on a tricolor GDP growth of 6% in 2021. According to its experts, the France submarine would thus return to the pre-crisis level of activity at the end of the year.
Something to rejoice in the Castex government, which for its part is still banking on growth of 5% this year, after a recession of 8% in 2020.
This rapid recovery puts Paris in a good position on the world stage.
After the United States, which returned to their pre-crisis activity this spring, Germany is set to precede France by a few months.
The United Kingdom, Italy and Spain will follow.
The INSEE projection is based on growth of 3.4% in the third quarter and 0.7% in the fourth, under
"the assumption of the absence of new severe health restrictions

said Julien Pouget, the chief of the business cycle department.
