The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran appointed Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei Gholamhossein Mohsen Ejei as head of the judiciary, succeeding Ibrahim Raisi, who was elected president of the country last month.
In the appointment decision issued today, Khamenei pointed out that the appointment of Mohsen Ejei came in light of his legal qualifications, valuable experience, deep knowledge and illustrious past in the field of justice.
In his decision, Khamenei referred to the election of Raisi as president of the republic by the people's vote and thanked him for his efforts during his tenure as head of the judiciary.
