REPORT - The second edition of the universal national service ends this Friday for 18,000 young people aged 15 to 17.

It is the last raising of the flag for the 113 volunteers of the universal national service (SNU) in the center of Yvelines.

In the middle of the 52 hectares of the park of the castle of Jambville, the teenagers display, this Thursday morning, a calm and serious face but are stamped with impatience.

For this last day of the 2021 edition of the SNU, they meet the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, and the Secretary of State in charge of Youth and Engagement, Sarah El Haïry.

For 12 days - the total duration of their engagement - these young people aged 15 to 17, from other departments, have been sleeping in tents.

The SNU, despite its air of a summer camp, is organized in a military fashion.
