Miqdad, in a phone call with the Algerian Foreign Minister, discusses ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries

Dr. Faisal Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, discussed, in a telephone conversation with Sabri Boukadoum, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the developments of the situation in the Arab region and the world, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to develop and strengthen them for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

Minister Mikdad congratulated Boukadoum on the achievement of the recent legislative elections in Algeria, stressing the Syrians' support for the Algerian brothers in achieving their constitutional entitlements and enhancing their country's capabilities for the strength and prosperity of sisterly Algeria.

Minister Miqdad also presented the developments of the situation in Syria, stressing the Syrians' insistence on combating all forms of terrorism and occupation in order to liberate their entire lands from it and restore security and stability to it, pointing out that Syria's enemies will fail to achieve through politics what they were unable to achieve in the field.

Miqdad outlined to his Algerian counterpart Syria's position on the West's attempts to politicize the humanitarian aid file, stressing that Syria rejects any violation of its borders and sovereignty by any party and under any pretext, and is keen to deliver aid to its citizens wherever they are, provided that it reaches its beneficiaries and is not exploited by terrorists to prolong the war on Syria. .

For his part, Minister Boukadoum stressed the importance of relations with Syria for the people, government and leadership of Algeria, once again expressing Algeria's support for Syria in its war on terrorism and its support for Syria's efforts to restore security and stability to all its lands.

Minister Boukadoum also expressed Algeria's readiness to coordinate with Syria in various fields and to enhance mutual consultation and coordination between the two countries at all levels, whether with regard to bilateral relations or developments in the region, for the good and interest of the peoples of the two brotherly countries and in a manner that is commensurate with the strong historical relations between them.

During the call, the two ministers stressed the importance of strengthening consultation and coordination between the Arab countries to secure a unified and strong Arab position in facing the various challenges that target the Arab region, in order to thwart all projects aimed at threatening common Arab interests and to impose a reality that is not commensurate with the will of the Arab peoples, as the views were identical regarding the importance of Restoring Arab-Arab relations to their normal state and in a manner that allows unifying efforts to thwart all projects hostile to the Arab nation.

At the end of the call, the two ministers agreed to continue communication and consultation on all issues and developments of common interest.
