Lt. Col. Sharon Asman ended his tenure as the AJM officer of the Northern Command about four weeks ago, under Maj. Gen. Amir Baram. With his family, and then began overlapping in preparation for the position of commander of the Nahal Brigade, in place of Colonel Israel Shomer. The replacement ceremony took place last Monday, in the presence of the commander of the Southern Command, Major General Eliezer Toledano.

Sources in the 162nd Division said that the commander of the new brigade, Colonel Asman, led a routine physical training today (Thursday) at a home base near Netanya.

"It was a run inside the base of the entire Nahal Brigade headquarters," says one source. In addition, he served as the head of the IDF Spokesman's Office at the Central Command, under Maj. Gen. (Res.) Moshe Kaplinsky.

Asman loved the military profession very much, delved into every complex operational event and was very dedicated to all the roles he performed.
