A recent opinion poll, the results of which were published today, revealed that the popularity of the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey is witnessing a continuous decline amid widespread and continuous criticism of the policies of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government.
According to the poll conducted by the Afrasia Foundation for Social Studies in Turkey, only 29.4% of Turks will vote for the party in the event of the legislative elections next Sunday, and this percentage is 12 percent less than the number of voters in the 2018 elections, while the Republican People's Party is expected to get 26.7 percent against 15% for the Good Party and 11.1 percent for the HDP.
Foundation head Kemal Ozkiraz predicted an absolute defeat for Erdogan in the upcoming presidential elections, noting that 53.2 percent of the respondents absolutely confirmed that they would not vote for Erdogan, while 45.9 percent of them expected the opposition candidate to win.
Criticism and opposition to Erdogan's policies are increasing, and support for his party is declining due to his practices at all levels, which have led to a catastrophic deterioration of the economic situation in Turkey and the suffering of crises at various levels.
