The patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa closed a consortium factory in Namer town for 15 days, violating the presence of a layer of mold and impurities on olive barrels.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Engineer Hamidi Al-Khalil, told SANA reporter that the violation is considered grave according to Decree No. 8 of 2021, which includes the new Consumer Protection Law, and requires the organization of catering control and administrative closure with the destruction of the entire quantity.
And he indicated that the directorate organized, during the past three days, two sample and 19 catering seizures, including two arrests against the shift leader at Jassim Automatic Bakery and the supervisor of the Jabab Reserve Bakery for a violation of the weight of bagels of bread, and two arrests against the owners of the Jabab Southern and Jabab Al Shamali bakeries for a violation of working hours, and a seizure against the owner of the Mothbeen bakery Weight loss of bread ties.
He explained that a service driver was arrested for a violation of an increase in the allowance for passenger transportation, 3 for not announcing prices, 7 for various commercial activities, for displaying irregular purchase invoices, and 3 for not placing a plate showing the consumer's right to exchange and return, in addition to two seizures of a sample of foodstuffs for analysis. And knowing the extent of their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications.
On the 28th of last month, the directorate closed two laboratories for the production of dairy and cheese that used illegal materials in the industry process.
