At about 2 a.m. on July 1, the police received a report stating that several bottles of combustibles, including furnace gas and white electric oil, were thrown at the Government House near the slope of Lower Albert Road. There was a fire at the scene but no one was injured.
Today (2nd), the police arrested a man involved in the case. Afterwards, the suspect was taken back to the residence of Kam Fung Court, Ma On Shan for investigation, and evidence including pocket knives, tablet computers, lighters, matches and clothing were seized. Police Explosives Disposal Division Officers also attended the investigation.
The police will hold a press conference at 6 o'clock in the evening to explain the case.
The male suspect was taken back to the apartment for investigation.
