Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced the implementation of a large-scale operation to combat terrorism in his country and pledged to reveal the details of the operation later.
"Today we have completed a large-scale operation to fight terrorism in the country," Lukashenko was quoted by the official Belarusian news agency Belta as saying. "They were trying to strangle us economically, but this is not the case," noting that this terrorism "continues on a larger scale inside the country against people and sites."
Lukashenko referred to Germany's involvement in the recent events in his country, stressing Minsk's determination to lodge a protest in this regard to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and some other German leaders.
The Belarusian president revealed earlier that the United States is behind the planning and implementation of the unrest in his country, while the Europeans comply with its orders to support these disturbances.
