A popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers cannot be reached from Rottach-Egern in the next few weeks: the forest road to the Kühzaglalm is being renovated and is therefore completely closed.

- The forest road between the Rottach district of Kühzagl and the Kühzaglalm is in urgent need of renovation.
The community is now tackling the measure: Due to the renovation, the road, which also serves as a connection for hikers to Schliersee, is completely closed from Monday, July 5th.
The managed Kühzaglalm can only be reached from the Schliersee side during construction work, as stated by the town hall manager Gerhard Hofmann.
The work, in the course of which the bridge and culverts will also be renewed, is expected to be completed by mid-August.
“The road urgently needs to be repaired, it is high time that it was,” explains Hofmann.
The municipality carries out the measure, the Free State bears a considerable share of the costs.
