The interministerial commission, meeting last Tuesday to decide on the state of natural disaster after the bad weather of the night of June 21 to 22 on Beauvaisis, issued a favorable opinion for 29 municipalities in the department.

A decree was published this Friday in the Official Journal.

“This decision is a relief for all, reacts Caroline Cayeux, mayor of Beauvais.

Even if this recognition of a natural disaster will not erase painful memories, it will allow disaster victims to speed up the compensation process.

All the people who were victims of damage during this stormy episode can now finalize their procedures with insurers.

A deadline of 10 days to respect!

“Each mayor concerned must immediately inform his affected citizens who have a period of 10 days after the publication of the decree in the Official Journal, ie until July 12, to file a statement with their insurance company. estimate of their damage, in order to obtain compensation for the damage suffered, ”explains the prefecture of Oise. As the damage will be assessed on the basis of the supporting documents provided, it is therefore strongly recommended to keep the damaged objects for probable appraisals carried out by the insurance companies.

The state of natural disaster guarantees the victims compensation "within three months from the date on which they were given the estimated statement of damage and loss suffered, or, if it is later, from of the date of publication of the interministerial decree ”, complete the prefectural services.

On the other hand, it will be necessary to be a little more patient for the inhabitants of seven municipalities who have received an adjournment and whose situation will be reviewed before July 20.

List of municipalities having received a favorable opinion: Acy-en-Multien, Auneuil, Auteuil, Beauvais, Boullarre, Delincourt, Fouquenies, Frocourt, Goincourt, Herchies, Lévignen, Mareuil-sur-Ourcq, Milly-sur-Thérain, Neufchelles, Pierrefitte -en-Beauvaisis, Rainvillers, Rosoy-en-Multien, Saint-Léger-en-Bray, Saint-Martin-le-Nœud, Saint-Omer-en-Chaussée, Saint-Paul, Saint-Sulpice, Therdonne, Tillé, Valdampierre , Le Vauroux, Villers-Saint-Sépulcre, Warluis, Aux Marais.
