It's getting hot again.

It's getting wet again.

But the heat wave then quickly subsides.

The summer of 2021 will take Germany on a rollercoaster ride.

Munich - You can say a lot about this relatively young summer.

But certainly not that it is monotonous.

After the heat, hail and other special kind of celestial effusions, the first days of July arouse almost autumn feelings in view of the at best moderate temperatures.

But what's next?

This can be forecast fairly accurately for the remaining weeks of the month.

To paraphrase: Like in a weather roller coaster.

The temperatures go up and down, and the sky gives us all sorts of liquids.

Stable weather conditions are still around two weeks away.

Weather in Germany: heat wave over four days - top values in the east

But one after anonther.

Jan Schenk from the

Weather Channel has

already announced a “new heat wave” for the coming week and promises: “35 degrees are possible again next week.” However, the upswing will likely only last from Tuesday to Friday.

Lusatia has the best prospects for top values.

At the edge of the Alps, however, the thermometer can also climb to more than 30 degrees.

Schenk then predicts a significant drop from Friday, garnished with new thunderstorms.

Weather in Germany: "Tropical summer just continues - with squalls, hail, heavy rain"

Dominik Jung from

wetter.net also

warns of nasty surprises from above: “The storm

situation is entering

the next round.

The tropical summer, it just continues in Germany. ”According to the qualified meteorologist, the thunderstorms will streak back to the federal territory from Sunday evening.

Then it gets really varied again: "Squalls, hail, heavy rain - the full program."

Jung refers to the American weather model GFS (Global Forecast System), according to which the temperature differences between east and west of the country can be almost 20 degrees at the end of the week.

The air mass boundary runs right through Germany - and this is exactly where the new storms will form.

Weather in Germany: More rain for the north and south than for the center

A lot of precipitation is to be expected again.

"The warm air masses from the east, the cooler air masses from the west and, in the middle, this heavy rainfall, up to 120 liters per square meter by next Saturday", summarizes Jung.

This number refers to the north and south.

Central Germany is doing a little better, with 60 to 70 liters per square meter until July 10th.

This is what the Americans predict.

It's hard to believe, but that would actually be the better option for some regions.

Because the European model ECMWF (abbreviation for European Center for Medium-Term Weather Forecasts) expects up to 150 liters per square meter of precipitation in the north and 130 in the south for this period, while central Germany would still get off relatively lightly with 50 liters per square meter.

Weather in Germany: "We are facing a few wet weeks again"

Not even real water enthusiasts should come to tears of joy when looking at the GFS model until July 17th.

During this period, 160 liters per square meter are expected to fall over the north, in the south even up to 200, in the middle it will be around 100. “You can hardly believe it: the Flood is actually here again,” summarizes Jung: “Standing there So again a couple of very wet days, very wet weeks ahead of us. "

But when will it be summer again?

For this,

Weather Channel

man Schenk

dares

a forecast.

Until July 19, the weather will remain mixed - despite the intermittent heat wave.

For the period from July 20, however, rising temperatures are to be expected: "It can get very warm in Germany."

A high pressure area over Scandinavia would be decisive for this.

“We can live well with that, because it could mean a very nice summer for us too,” Schenk stirs up hope.

This influence could bring unusually warm temperatures, especially in the north.

So summer 2021 still has a few twists in store.
