The Mayor of the Russian capital, Sergey Sobyanin, announced that about 3 million citizens have been vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine in the city.
Sobyanin said that "the total number of people who have received at least the first vaccine to date has exceeded 2.7 million and that every day from 60 to 70,000 people receive vaccination against the virus."
The mayor of Moscow indicated that the number of daily vaccinations in the capital will increase by vaccinating foreign workers. In addition, the production of vaccination points for foreigners will be increased in the coming days to 20 thousand people per day.
Moscow witnessed a deterioration in the epidemiological situation again due to the emergence of the Indian strain (Delta), which prompted the Russian authorities to impose vaccination for some businesses, professions and sectors to contain the epidemic.
