At his own request, Hubert Lacrouts (CSU) has now been removed from the Hausham municipal council.
His colleagues did not skimp on praise and thanks before they greeted his successor.
Hausham
- The briefcase in one hand, the gift basket in the other: Hubert Lacrouts (CSU) left the Hausham council for the last time on Thursday evening after more than 19 years in office. His former councilors had risen from their seats and said goodbye to him with loud clapping. Lacrout's place was already occupied again: with his newly sworn successor, Markus Czernik.
When asked by our newspaper, Lacrouts emphasized once again that he did not withdraw out of displeasure or lack of motivation. “It was a great time and I learned a lot, including for my own life,” says Lacrouts. Even if not everything always went “according to my nose”. “But you have to endure that as a Democrat.” He did not make his departure from office easy, emphasizes Lacrouts. But since he has not yet found a successor, he cannot quit his main job as owner of an interior construction company overnight. Because the double burden had become too much for him in terms of health, he decided with a heavy heart to end his voluntary work as a councilor prematurely. But he is still happy to answer any questions, says the outgoing CSU parliamentary group spokesman:"I'm not beaming away from Hausham."
Mayor praises the services of Hubert Lacrouts
Mayor Jens Zangenfeind (FWG) also insists on this.
Lacrouts is allowed to get involved at any time and continue to express his opinion.
"But better personally than in letters to the editor," smirked Zangenfeind.
In his long term in office, Lacrouts has always shown that he is concerned with the will of the people and not with party politics.
He also achieved great merits as a cultural advisor and built up a loyal fan base with the exhibitions in the art and culture house, said Zangenfeind, and presented Lacrouts with a gift basket with good wines (“He doesn't drink anything”) and a traditional belt with the coat of arms of the Hausham community .
The local council gave their long-time colleague a voucher for a hat.
"Think of us when you touch down," said Georg Eham (non-party, CSU parliamentary group).
It is difficult for him to let him go.
“As a young man, I learned what democracy means through people like you,” enthused Eham.
He was particularly impressed that Lacrouts always maintained a "fair line" to everyone.
The other groups received only praise.
Thomas Danzer (SPD) thanked him for the “good and constructive cooperation”, Ria Röpfl (FWG) also remembered “a lot of fun” and Harda von Poser (Greens) had to “get over it” to agree to Lacrout's request for dismissal.
The local councils did this unanimously.

Successor Markus Czernik sworn in
They also unanimously decided to move Markus Czernik up.
The 48-year-old householder is married, has three children and runs a local insurance agency.
Czernik reported before he was sworn in that he only needed a few minutes to think about whether he would like to become Lacrout's heir.
Ultimately, however, he said when he was running: “If I let myself stand up, I really want to do it.” He was also won over by the positive atmosphere and good cooperation in the local council.
"We know how things are with you, and I would like to be part of that."
Zangenfeind welcomed Czernik and praised his commitment to numerous clubs.
"You are an asset to us and fit perfectly into the Hausham team."
