Konrad Zollner remains local chairman of the CSU Eitting.

At the annual general meeting on Thursday in the Fischerbräu he was unanimously re-elected.

Eitting - It was unusual for the visitors to be able to hold a meeting again at all.

Because due to the pandemic, hardly anything has been possible for a year and a half: no summer festival, no events.

"And the last annual general meeting was on March 15, 2019," said Secretary Hermann Hofer looking back.

Exactly one year later the local elections were held, in which Hofer ran against Reinhard Huber as a candidate for mayor.

It was and is characteristic that both are CSU members - Huber is even deputy local chairman, but had been a candidate for travel for the local list and narrowly made the race.

Hofer is now Vice City Hall chief and very happy with this task.

“I also feel very comfortable in the local council,” he said.

And even if some of them might not be able to imagine, there is no competition, but good cooperation.

With a twinkle in his eye, Hofer looked back at the election campaign, “which was also an enrichment for Eitting.

Because something like this has probably never happened before.

In the beginning I didn't have the handbook for house calls and I always gave myself away, ”he recalled with a smile and also admitted that his knees would have trembled quite a bit when the doorbell rang for the first time.

Hofer got serious when he remembered Matthias Kammerbauer, who had died on August 1st of last year.

There was a minute's silence in honor of the former mayor.

Hofer remains loyal to the 48-member local association as secretary, as do the rest of the board. Astrid Hellinger is also deputy chairwoman alongside town hall chief Huber. Michael Hirt takes care of the finances. The auditors Georg Zollner and Hermann Thaler check his bookkeeping. The task of the digital officer, to which Franziska Zollner was elected, is new. The assessors are Max Vincenti, Andreas Maier, Angela Fodermair-Hasenhündl, Anton Anzinger, Ludwig Maierhofer, Josef Schmidt, Franz Wurzer and Alfred Huber. District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer led the elections with the support of Hofer and Caroline Brielmair.

The 36-year-old from Grucking was a guest in Eitting for a reason: The agricultural master wants to join the Bundestag for the CSU (see also “Have a nice weekend” on the Erding page). It is at number 30 on the state list. "If the CSU had a result of almost 50 percent, it would be there," calculated Bayerstorfer, who is happy about the commitment of the mother of two. “Agriculture is no longer as present in society as it was. You have to be very honest, ”he said. He is all the more pleased about Brielmair's Bundestag candidacy, which is not in competition with Bundestag member and direct candidate Andreas Lenz. “This is my first time to introduce myself. You are now my test subjects, ”said the woman from Grucking with a smile.

The former bank clerk is involved in the Agriculture Working Group. “Our party is always the party of coexistence,” she is convinced. The hearing of agriculture is to be further strengthened.
