Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree declaring a state of emergency in the Palestinian territories for a period of thirty days, starting today, to confront the continuing outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
The Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, stated that the decree stipulates that the competent authorities continue to take all necessary measures to confront the risks resulting from the Corona virus, protect public health, and achieve security and stability.
Palestine recorded 83 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total infections since the outbreak of the pandemic to 343,250 cases, while the total deaths reached 3,838.
