The Taycan is the first fully electric Porsche sports car.
Due to a software problem, thousands of models around the world now have to be called back to the workshop.
Stuttgart - Last year, the Taycan, the first purely battery-powered Porsche sports car, came onto the market.
Since then, the Stuttgart-based car maker has enjoyed great success with the model and sold over 20,000 vehicles last year.
The Taycan has already sold 9,000 times in the first quarter of 2021, but Porsche is aiming for annual sales of 40,000.
All models that were built before the current model released in June now have to be returned to the workshop.
The reason is a software problem that causes the electric car to switch itself off spontaneously.
As BW24 * reports, Porsche is recalling 43,000 Taycan models - due to a software problem.
The Taycan is now the best-selling Porsche model in Europe, even before the 911 (BW24 * reported).
