Here we go again !

After a nine-month hiatus, fans of rollerblades, but also of biking, scootering, skateboarding and other gyroroues can meet again every Friday evening for a 21 km loop supervised by the police in Paris.

From this Friday, July 2, the Pari Roller association is relaunching an event that began 20 years ago.

The start is at 9:30 p.m. Place Raoul-Dautry, in front of Montparnasse station (14th century).

Duration of the route: 2 h 30 min. The event is renamed “Randonnée des mobilités” because it is open to all modes of travel “with human or electric propulsion exclusively”.

This is the opportunity to rediscover Paris, at night, in a secure way and in a festive atmosphere.

Registration is free.

Police vehicles in front of the procession

Be careful, however, this heterogeneous procession is governed by a strict organization.

The skaters are guided by scouts on the front line, who follow the police vehicles securing the course.

A good level is recommended to feel comfortable on the Parisian road, which can harbor bumps and unpleasant surprises.

The slower-paced "turtles" stay behind.

If rollerblading is not your cup of tea, you can come by bike or scooter, gyro or skate.

These devices must stay behind the procession and keep their distance from the skaters.

"We are far from being sectarian, this position is solely due to the incompatibility of our respective modes of travel which make proximity dangerous", specifies Pari Roller.
