Relatives of Clark, whose one-year-old son Oliver was killed in an accident near Kiryat Tivon, are having a hard time digesting its tragic consequences.

"He was the perfect kid," says Niv Kaplan, 62, Oliver's grandfather who saw him two hours before the fatal accident.

"He was both beautiful, also smart, there are no such things," he said.

Oliver's father, Vincent, his mother Lee and his older sister Abigail are still hospitalized at Rambam Hospital. The parents' condition is moderate, while four-year-old Abigail is still in intensive care. Kaplan, Oliver's grandfather, recounted the moments before the accident. "I was with them. At home and I was getting ready to go in the direction of Tel Aviv and they organized to go out in the direction of Yokneam HaMoshava, for dinner.

A total of a few miles away.

I said goodbye to them.

I photographed him and his sister as I always do.

Shortly afterwards, I set off. "

He stressed that "the father, who was driving the car, does not remember anything and it is important for me to emphasize that he has no guilt in this accident. As we understand the circumstances the father or any other driver who came in his place had no ability to prevent it and had no even minor chance to avoid from her".

The accident killed the offending driver, Rotem Zisk, who was released from prison a year ago after serving a 21-month prison sentence for drug trafficking and also 21 traffic convictions, the most recent of which is from 2017 for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

According to sources involved in the investigation, empty bottles of alcohol were found in his vehicle.

A preliminary investigation of the accident revealed that the vehicle in which 35-year-old Zisk, who was traveling north from Yokneam, deviated from his lane and collided with the vehicle in which Clark was one year old.

A suspicion was tested that Zisk was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
