Researchers warn MLAL: Vaccines are only 60% -80% effective in preventing delta strain
In a study conducted at the Hebrew University, the researchers found that the vaccines do prevent less infection compared to their effectiveness at 90% compared to the primary strain of the genus.
It was noted, however, that it is not yet possible to assess how the current wave of infection in Corona will affect the condition of critically ill patients.

Corona vaccines in Israel are only 60% -80% effective in preventing infection with the Delta strain, and compared to 90% effective against the primary strain of the genus, according to a study published tonight (Saturday) at the Hebrew University and whose conclusions were forwarded to the National Security Council.
The researchers examined the effects of the current outbreak wave and suggested that "vaccines are seen to be less effective in preventing infection than in the past."
