For 17 years he was the head of the Children's Aid Foundation Fürstenfeldbruck - now the CEO Jost Brockmann has retired.

Fürstenfeldbruck - The outgoing chairman is accompanied by a man who has always kept children's aid in the black, it was said in unison in the various speeches of his guests.

Board member Beatrix Mülling-Urban recalled Brockmann's assumption of office: "Here comes someone who is a renovator and always well dressed," she reported on the floor radio in 2003 shortly before Brockmann took up his position.

At that time, Kinderhilfe was not a bad renovation case, said Mülling-Urban.

But there were financial problems.

Brockmann has won the trust of the cost bearers.

And he did not have to close a single child aid facility, stressed Mülling-Urban.

The “Lord of Numbers” is leaving the Children's Aid Foundation, as board member Alexander Huber called the outgoing chairman.

This is what the newcomer was called internally, at least in the first few months.

"A man to whom punctuality was always important and whom you could rely on," said Huber.

In contrast to the outgoing national coach Joachim Löw, Brockmann can be said to have eloquence, vision and decision-making power.

The Children's Aid Foundation looks after a total of 18 different institutions in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germering and Olching. Some leaders had come to the celebration. They gave the outgoing chairman a gift that visibly touched him: a box with letters in which around 400 employees recorded their thoughts. Brockmann, whose farewell coincided with his 65th birthday, did not describe the celebration as a "farewell, but a celebration to keep the past few years in mind."

For a long time before Kinderhilfe, he worked for the Bavarian Red Cross, where he held various positions, from clerk to state manager. "When I came to Children's Aid, I was now responsible for 200 instead of 1000 employees," said Brockmann. For him it was very lucky to be able to work for the foundation. He is just as happy that his successor has been secured. The foundation will no longer have a chairman of the board. Margit Gottschalk will act as spokesperson on the three-person board, Alexander Huber as deputy spokesperson. Beatrix Mülling-Urban will also continue to be a member of the board.
