Future RER B trains will be built by Bombardier (now part of the Alstom Group) and CAF.
They will alternate cars at two levels to increase the carrying capacity and cars at one level to promote the speed of ascent / descent in the station as well as accessibility.
But they will not be longer than today (104 meters).
They will offer 345 seats, or 20% more than at present, and will provide a transport capacity of 1,070 passengers in total, or 35% more than those currently operating.
