29 new craft and industrial establishments entered the labor market in As-Suwayda Governorate during the current year, with a capital that exceeded 553 million Syrian pounds.
As-Suwayda Industry Director Haitham Amer told SANA reporter that the establishments that entered the labor market during the past six months provide 48 job opportunities and include various food, chemical, textile and engineering sectors.
And he indicated that during the past three months, two industrial projects, 6 industrial facilities and two craft facilities were licensed to start implementation, in addition to the presence of 17 industrial projects under implementation and 6 partially implemented facilities.
The total number of industrial and craft establishments operating in As-Suwayda by the end of last year reached 4,795 establishments with a capital of 10 billion and 556 million pounds, providing 10,474 job opportunities.
