The music broadcast on Sunday has only just started, for the first time finally again with 400 allowed viewers on the stage.
A thunderstorm warning and thick raindrops come up and spoil the good mood after just 13 minutes.
The audience must be evacuated!
“As soon as the show has started, we bring the viewers to safety,” explains Andrea Kiewel, while the ZDF crew accompanies the people from the open air to a nearby hall.

And Kiewel itself is also taking refuge in the dry. "We are now clearing the area and going to a safe place," said the moderator. Nevertheless, she remains optimistic: “Not forever, only for a short time,” she says to the disappointed viewer. And in the direction of the camera she adds: “That'll pass”. But does it also apply to the technology - how the show continues with the “emergency program”? The presenter apparently doesn't know yet and speaks about the European Football Championship inside. “We keep working, we keep broadcasting, we're live, we're moving into the little house,” said Kiewel. And further: “The problem is not the rain, but the thunderstorm. We've had rain several times. ”The good news:“ The artists improvise with us ”- and just keep singing inside.
