The Jerusalem District Court today (Monday) accepted the prosecution's request last night to postpone the transfer of digital media materials by witness Ilan Yeshua, former Walla! CEO. Their request for an extension came against the background of the claim that they will not be able to complete the job The hearing will resume on July 19.
The court originally ordered the prosecution to transfer the materials by July 5, but the prosecution explained that they would not be able to finish the job by that date, and asked for an extension until July 11. The defense attorneys for the defendants in the case 4000, Shaul and Iris Elowitz, the controlling owners of the Bezeq-Walla! Group, and the opposition chairman, Benjamin Netanyahu, did agree to the rejection, but criticized the State Attorney's Office.
The request for a postponement means that there will be only two days left for legal hearings in the case before July 21 - the date of departure for the courts' summer recess, which lasts until September.
This month there can be only a few hearings due to the Tishrei holidays, so in practice - the evidence hearings will be renewed regularly and continuously only after the holidays.
