While some EU countries are further easing their entry regulations, others are already planning to tighten them again - the reason is the delta variant of the corona virus.
Portugal, Spain and Russia have to struggle with a large spread of the delta variant and high incidences.
This does not unsettle some EU countries that are now planning to tighten their recently relaxed rules again.
This also includes Germany's neighboring country, the Czech Republic.
Corona: The Czech Republic plans to tighten the entry rules
A few weeks ago, the Czech Republic itself had
to struggle
with the
rampant alpha variant of the coronavirus
and was classified as a virus variant area. Perhaps to avoid this fate a second time, the government is now planning to
tighten it at an
early stage in order to
slow down the spread of the delta variant
. Therefore, from July 9th, it
will be mandatory to
fill out an
online registration form

. Anyone who has not yet been fully vaccinated will also have to present a negative PCR test in the future - the rule should apply regardless of whether or not you come from a virus variant area such as Portugal.

Current entry regulations for the Czech Republic
Only recently had the Czech Republic relaxed its entry regulations.
Since June 21, entry has been permitted from all EU countries.
To do this, a negative corona test, proof of recovery or proof of vaccination must be provided.
In contrast to many other EU countries
, anyone who has received the first vaccination dose at least three weeks ago is
considered
fully vaccinated in the
Czech Republic
.
An entry registration is currently also not necessary.
This will probably change on July 9th.
However, further details on the planned tightening are not yet known.
There may still be differentiations between countries with a high and a low infection rate.
Due to its low incidence, Germany is currently on the green list of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
