In recent years, the Hong Kong government has encouraged young people to develop the Greater Bay Area, including launching exchange groups for young people to experience.

The "MWYO Youth Office", headed by Liu Mingwei, Vice Chairman of the Youth Development Committee, published the seventh issue of "Youth Notes" today (5th), interviewing more than 100 young people about their views on the development of the Greater Bay Area.

The report mentioned that many young people agree that there are more development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, but participating in exchange groups has weakened their desire to develop in the Greater Bay Area in the future. Due to factors such as friends and culture, only a very small number of young people plan to go to the Greater Bay Area or Hainan for development.

The Liu Mingwei think tank "MWYO Youth Office" interviewed 100 young people on the development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area. Most of the interviewees agreed that the mainland has a bright future. However, considering factors such as relatives and friends and cultural differences, not many people are willing to go north for development.

Youth refers to the exchange plan mostly to look at flowers

According to the report, many interviewed youths said that most of the exchange activities they had participated in were just looking at the flowers, and they rarely had the opportunity to contact and talk with locals. Some college students pointed out that they had visited companies in the Greater Bay Area in middle school, and they had learned from the reception staff. I learned that the rigorous relationship between superiors and subordinates and the entertainment culture in the mainland workplace affected his interest in local development.

However, many young people agree that the development prospects of the mainland are relatively good. The report quoted a young man engaged in marketing as saying that mainland companies and enterprises have larger scale, capital and potential, and have relatively better development prospects.

For some industries, it will be easier for young people to obtain higher-level positions if they choose to go northward, and they will have a greater chance of participating in important company decisions.

Only a few people intend to develop in the Greater Bay Area

Although it has become a trend for young people to travel to the Greater Bay Area, the report stated that only a very small number of respondents plan to develop in the Greater Bay Area or Hainan. In addition to salary, prospects, relatives, friends, culture and other economic factors will also be considered.

A public relations worker believes that there are more development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, but because his family members are in Hong Kong, he still prefers to stay in Hong Kong for the time being.
