Twenty-one migrants died after their boat sank off the coast of the Tunisian city of Sfax.
Tunisian National Guard spokesman Houssam Eddine Jebali told AFP that units of the guard's maritime zone had recovered 21 bodies of migrants from sub-Saharan African countries and rescued 50 others after a boat they were on sank off the coastal city of Sfax while they were trying to reach Europe, pointing out that these migrants set off From Sfax, all of them are from sub-Saharan Africa.
The Tunisian spokesman pointed out that four boats departing from Sfax have sank since June 26, where 78 migrants have been rescued and 49 bodies have been recovered after these tragedies occurred.
The Tunisian Red Crescent announced last Saturday that 84 migrants had been rescued and 43 others missing.
