Al-Wehda team defeated Al-Jaish with a score of 70-75 points in the second round of the semi-finals of the men's basketball league, in the match that brought them together today at Al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
Al-Wehda advanced in the first and second quarters by 12-13 points and 12-20 points respectively. The third quarter came in favor of the Army 20-26 points, while the fourth quarter ended in favor of Al-Wehda 20-22 points, ending the match with the victory of Al-Wehda with a score of 70-75 points.
Al-Jaish had defeated Al-Wahda 68-72 points in the first round of the semi-finals, thus delaying the qualification to the final round after the two teams exchanged wins. To win, a play-off match is used to determine the qualifier, so the two teams will meet again in the play-off round tomorrow in the same hall.
The first round of the other semi-final confrontation that brought Al-Karama together with Al-Ittihad ended with Al-Karama winning 88-98 points in their match at Al-Assad Sports Hall in Aleppo.
