Nuremberg - Between Friday (July 2nd) and Sunday (July 4th) strangers broke into at least 15 cars in the Nuremberg city area and stole the airbags.
The police headquarters in Middle Franconia announced this in a report.
All cars were Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
All were parked in an underground car park.
In Nuremberg, the parking facilities in Burgsalacher Strasse, Gundelsheimer Strasse, Neuendettelsauer Strasse, Petersauracher Strasse, Imbuschstrasse, Georg-Ledebour-Strasse and Giesbertstrasse were affected.
Nuremberg: Several thousand euros in damage were incurred
Exact information on the amount of damage to property and theft is not yet known.
However, estimates assume several thousand euros.
The responsible specialist commissioner of the Nuremberg criminal police is investigating the case.
The officers asked for evidence from witnesses.
