In February 2020, baptizing the forecourt of the Accor Arena in Bercy “Esplanade Johnny Hallyday” had not posed any concern to elected officials in Paris.
The vote for the installation of a work in homage to the rocker, submitted to the Paris Council on July 7 or 8, will be much more heated.
Its aesthetics and the costs borne by Parisians annoy.
Artist Bertrand Lavier imagined a vertical pole in the shape of a guitar neck, the top of which is adorned with a tilted Harley Davidson.
The set, metallic blue, is nearly six meters high and will be installed in the hedge of trees in front of the Accor Arena in front of the Ministry of Finance.
The work is to be inaugurated on September 14 by Laeticia Hallyday.
