The Centre for Health Protection announced that the first case involved two men and a woman, aged between 20 and 22. Another case involved three women aged between 24 and 25. They had dinner at the same restaurant on June 26 and developed similar symptoms about 34 to 43 hours later.
It is understood that all 6 people have eaten oysters (a la carte, non-buffet) from the restaurant, one per person in the first case and two per person in the second case.
In the first case, one person did not seek medical treatment, and all others sought medical treatment from private doctors. There is no need to stay in hospital for treatment. He is now in stable condition.
The spokesman said that the Department has notified the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department of the incident and is continuing its investigation.
