The Lenggrieser Bergwacht had to cope with two missions on Saturday in the Brauneck area.

In one case, a man from Munich who got lost had to be rescued from hardship in the mountains.

Lenggries - At 11.42 a.m., the rescue control center called the mountain rescue team to a Munich resident in mountain distress.

The 50-year-old wanted to climb up the Längental to the Brauneck summit, but had missed the climb over the water floor.

The man then tried his luck in the steep, pathless terrain - until he lost track of the rocky area.

"Since he was already in the crash area and the way up was blocked by a rock wall, he wanted to cross a strip of grass out of the area," says the mountain rescue service.

"Since the area was very slippery due to the wet grass, the risk of falling was extremely high." In his distress, the man alerted the rescue control center.

Since the 50-year-old had completely lost his orientation and an emergency call location was not possible, the Lenggries mountain rescue operations manager had to determine his whereabouts based on the poor location information.

Meanwhile, two emergency services drove to the Brauneck summit to initiate the rescue operation.

Two mountain rescuers from the Munich Mountain Rescue Service, who are stationed at the Latschenkopfhütte, support the mission.

When the man's whereabouts were known, the mountain rescuers descended to the rock face, secured the man from Munich on a short rope and brought him to the summit.

The mission was over after two and a half hours.

In the evening, the mountain rescue service had to take care of two hikers from Munich.

The two of them had taken the Brauneckbahn up and taken a hike along the Höhenweg.

When they missed the last gondola in the evening, they had to walk down to Lenggries.

One of the two women broke her foot in the Garland area.

Two men passing by by chance made an emergency call.

Three mountain rescuers moved out with the emergency vehicle.

The helpers splinted their feet and took the woman to Lenggries in the mountain rescue vehicle.

There they handed the patient over to the land rescue service.

An emergency doctor provided the woman with painkillers to make the further transport to the clinic in Bad Tölz more bearable.

At 9 p.m. it was finally time for the service team to finish.

The off-duty time on Sunday was used to prepare the two mountain rescue candidates for the exam.
