Palestinian prisoner Ghazanfar Abu Atwan continues his open-ended hunger strike for the 62nd day in protest against the continuing Israeli crimes against Palestinian prisoners, amid a serious deterioration in his health.
Benazir Abu Atwan, the prisoner's sister, told Ma'an News Agency, "Ghazanfar wants freedom and he knows the price in advance. His spirits are very high and we all derive our morale and strength from him, but his health is deteriorating as a result of his abstaining from drinking water as well, and we are afraid of a sudden health setback that threatens his life."
The prisoner, Abu Atwan, announced yesterday that he refrained from drinking water in protest against the occupation authorities' refusal to release him. The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission called on the international community to pressure the occupation to release him immediately and save his life before it is too late.
