A building application for an underground car park on the outskirts of Reitrain, municipality of Kreuth, causes discussions in the municipal council.

Seven cars are supposed to disappear in a hill.

Kreuth - The Kreuth municipal councils were at odds in their most recent meeting when it came to building an underground car park in the hill on the outskirts of Reitrain.

The owner of the property at Tegernseer Straße 61 had submitted a building application for a 19.50 meter long, 14.10 meter wide and 2.70 meter high underground car park.

It should offer space for seven cars and find space southwest of the residential building.

Mayor: Underground car park components should not be visible above ground

The planning envisages that the entire building should disappear in the said hill - an agricultural area in the outer area.

In order for this to work, two deciduous trees would have to be felled and deviations had to be granted for the change of the site, construction authority manager Andreas Schwinghammer informed the committee.

And also that holiday apartments are included in the house and the owner is therefore obliged to provide evidence of a total of seven parking spaces.

Mayor Josef Bierschneider (CSU) wanted to ensure that no underground car park components would be visible above ground.

The whole thing has to fit harmoniously into the terrain.

Peter Stiepan (CSU) said: “It will be damn close.

Afterwards you can't really see anything from the outside. ”Christian Weber (Greens) questioned whether an underground car park of this size was necessary and Christian Bock (CSU) said:“ I don't like the slope excavation.

The underground car park should be smaller and set back a little - or both. ”He warned against creating a reference case with building permits.

Applicant offers to preserve evidence - local council wants to revise the size of the garage

Leonhard Rohnbogner (CSU) did not like the visible escape stairs. He too wanted to push the underground car park further into the slope. This could leave one or both of the deciduous trees standing. Markus Wrba (FWG) considered this to be a defining feature of the townscape and absolutely worth preserving. Wrba also addressed the municipal dedication of the driveway: “The road is down after the construction work. Who will take care of the damage? ”He called for an agreement that the owner should take care of damage to the path. "That is not legally possible," said Mayor Bierschneider. One could talk about this in more detail in the non-public part of the meeting.

The client, who was present as a listener, offered to secure evidence.

And also to reduce the size of the underground car park, which has been generously planned for the benefit of guests and parking spaces.

He could imagine a meter reduction.

The committee demanded: "Two meters shorter, then the trees can be preserved!" Ultimately, it was unanimously agreed that the client should think again about planning and reducing the size.

In the event of appropriate changes, the application can be processed further on the office path.
