Today, the stage of the Cultural Center in Tartous hosted the theatrical performance Fella and the Seven Dwarfs as part of the celebration of the 19th International Children's Day, which is held under the title Childhood, the joy of the earth.

The work produced by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in cooperation with the Mayar International Foundation for Artistic Production and Distribution and the Arab Advertising Foundation, the text of which was written by the artist Hisham Kafarneh about the world famous story with the addition of some modifications to it in line with the idea and goal of the work as a whole.

The director of the show, Bassam Hamidi, said in a press statement that the work is based on merging the cartoon characters that we see on television with the theater or what is known as the visual show, which is the first of its kind in Syria.

Hamidi explained that he took the text in a visual, technical, spoken direction that relies on lyrical dialogue to draw attention to it as it is directed to families of all age groups, explaining that the show plays the roles of professional artists and children and won the Golden Prize at the Casablanca Festival, which was held this year via the Internet.

Actress Mai Merhej, who embodied the role of Fella, said in a statement to Sana that the goal of the work is to present a joyful work to the child in a new purposeful way in an attractive visual way, especially after the huge number of diverse works.

The actress called on Tamader Ghanem to revive the old stories, embody them and present them in a way that is attractive to the child.

The young man, Rabie Gad, saw in his second experience in the theater through the role of Ashbour, who heals dwarves, an opportunity to develop his talent, considering that this work added to him a lot of experience that he needed in his artistic path.

The audience, who interacted greatly with the show, found it distinct and different from the theatrical works that preceded it, as Zainab Abbas saw and Faryal Ahmed described it as a qualitative shift in the world of child theater. Ahmed Mahmoud hoped that in the coming stages we would see works of the same level to raise the artistic taste of the viewer.
