A 10-year-old boy
accidentally killed
his 5-year-old sister
with a shotgun in the chest
when she was handling a weapon that she found behind a closet in a Delta home, in the Buenos Aires district of Tigre.
The episode
occurred this Sunday around 5:00
p.m. in a house located at the height of the Dientudo creek at 1100, in the north of Greater Buenos Aires.
Police sources indicated in

that members of the Río Capitán detachment received a call to 911 indicating that a boy had shot his sister with a shotgun and, upon arriving at the scene, they found the body of the girl with a wound to the height of the thorax.
His brother, meanwhile,
was in a state of shock
in the same room.

When interviewing the boys' mother and their partner, both reported that they were outside the house when they heard a detonation of a firearm coming from inside.

According to the story, the boy grabbed a shotgun that the owner of the house had hidden behind a closet and inadvertently shot his sister.
Prosecutor Verónica Sayago, in charge of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of the San Isidro Judicial Department, ordered that the weapon used to be subjected to expertises be safeguarded, while investigating the precise circumstances of the episode.
